Brent Suhr, MBA, MSA, MSRI, CRM, ACI, joined GPW and Associates, Inc. (GPWA) in 2025 and currently serves as Director – Business Development. With over a decade of experience in the risk management and insurance industry, Brent brings a wealth of knowledge in delivering innovative solutions to a diverse range of clients. 

Brent began his career at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., where he spent seven years as a Captive Insurance Accounting Management Specialist. During this time, he focused on the formation, financial compliance, and administration of insurance and risk management products across traditional, loss-sensitive, and alternative risk structures. His professional journey continued at Artex Risk Solutions and later at Aon, where he consulted with Fortune 500 companies and large nonprofit organizations to develop captive insurance strategies tailored to their unique operational needs.

Brent’s leadership experience includes serving as Vice President at USI Insurance Services and later as Regional Vice President at Garnet Captive, where he provided strategic risk management solutions to both large and middle-market clients.

Brent specializes in captive insurance solutions, alternative risk transfer strategies, and business development in the insurance and risk management space. His background also includes consulting on compliance and financial structuring of insurance programs, and he is known for his client-focused approach and ability to build long-term partnerships.

Brent holds multiple advanced degrees and professional designations, including an MBA, MSA, MSRI, CRM, and ACI. He also maintains an active Arizona Insurance License (#1159458).
