Mark Baran

Mark Baran, CPA, ACI, joined GPW and Associates in 2019 and currently serves as a Business Development Director. With a career spanning back to 1995, Mark began his journey in public accounting and has since provided tax and accounting services to businesses across Ohio. His professional path took him to Coopers & Lybrand, which later became PricewaterhouseCoopers.

 

Mark is a frequent speaker at various conferences, accounting firms, and law firms. He excels in guiding business owners and their advisors through the intricate landscape of risk management and insurance, helping them navigate today's challenging insurance market to manage costs and coverages effectively.

 

Mark's areas of specialization include captive insurance and F&I service contract programs. Additionally, he offers consulting and training services on a wide array of topics such as trust attribution, controlled group reviews, Dealer Owned Warranty Companies (DOWCs), Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFCs), Non-Controlled Foreign Corporations (NCFCs), IRS audits of insurance companies, state taxation department audits of insurance companies, insurance company taxation, and the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
