Dobson Promoted to AVP/Executive Director at GPW and Associates

GPW and Associates has promoted Bryan Dobson to AVP/Executive Director – Business Development.

The firm says the milestone reflects his leadership, strategic vision, and the trust he has earned through consistent performance and results.

Dobson steps into the new leadership role having served as Executive Director – Business Development since December 2023. In this role, his responsibilities include evaluating Dealer Participation Programmes, profit share structures, controlled and non-controlled foreign corporations, and reinsurance agreement reviews.

He has been with GPW and Associates for over nine years, having joined the firm as Consultant – Management Services in January 2017. His prior roles include Senior Consultant – Management Services and Director – Business Development. During his tenure, Dobson has managed Dealer-Owned and Captive Reinsurance programmes.

Before joining GPW and Associates, Dobson spent nearly eight years at Transamerica, where he served as Financial Risk/Offshore Reinsurance Manager – Affinity Markets from March 2009 to January 2017. In that role, he managed day-to-day operations for offshore NCFC and CFC companies and served on risk assessment and investment committees.

Earlier in his career, Dobson spent nearly 11 years at Assurant in various roles, gaining experience in statutory and GAAP accounting and preparing monthly and annual financials for both domestic and foreign captive reinsurance companies.
